What have I done?!

Posted by Pharaoh

I am so angry right now! Although, I'm confused as well. When I freed the Israelites, I believed it was necessary and essential for Egypt's well-being. Now, I feel that we wrongly released them from their services. So, I'm taking my army of chariots to capture Moses and his people to be slaves for the rest of eternity. I can't explain my rage, but it almost feels like someone is guiding me to my fate. I cam see the Israelites now at the banks of the Red Sea. HA! They're lost and disoriented in this desolate land and now I have them where I wan't them. But, I'll have to wait for tomorrow because this thick fog and smoke is blocking the path to them. What is this!? With the fog cleared, the Israelites are gone and the ocean is split. We must follow in after them to achieve our goal. My man are in a state of panic because our wheels are clogged and broken. What awaits me on the inside of this land bridge because I fear death. Still, we will follow them into the bridge and I won't stop until I've captured them!

They're right behind us, but I fear not

When we left Egypt, I was so overjoyed and relieved to be finally free with my brothers and sisters. Yet, God wanted the Pharaoh and Egypt to know he was the lord and hardened his heart to follow us. At first I was terrified at the prospect of us being slaves once again, but I corrected myself and realized God's plans would save us. He told me myself that Pharaoh will bring an army of chariots to bring us back to Egypt. He assured me to not fear because he had fooled the Pharaoh to believe we were lost and disoriented in the foreign land. When my people saw the Egyptians, they feared death and enslavement. They cursed my name and asked why I had brought them out to the middle of the desert. I commanded my people to stand their ground and not fear because the Egyptians that they were seeing, would never trouble them again. God suddenly interrupted me and told me to open the sea with my staff. With columns of clouds keeping the Egyptians away from us, I stretched my hand and staff over the sea. God immediately separated the sea from both sides and my people followed in after me. When we got to the other side, I could see the army inside the land bridge with the confused Pharaoh leading them. I then stretched my hand once more over the sea under God's command and the ocean swept up the Pharaoh and his army. God saved us! My people rejoiced and they believed in me and God. Although, we had a large desert in front of us and I had no idea how hard this ordeal would be.

I will harden his heart

The Pharaoh is lost in his desires and wishes. Although he has allowed my people to be set free, he still believes that he is the God of all the land. I am God and I'll harden Egypt's and his heart to understand that. I love my people so much, but I know that Pharaoh might try to enslave them later in time if I don't act. With my people approaching the Red Sea, I will harden his heart to believe he has made a mistake in allowing the Israelites to be free. He and his army of chariots will follow the Israelites to the banks of the sea, but my people will be frightened. I will tell Moses to ensure the people that I am their God and the one and only true God. As their savior, I'll fool his army into disaster and rescue my people by opening the sea into two parts. Moses will achieve my wonders with his staff and the sea bed will be the Pharaoh's Tomb. With his mind lost and his heart hardened by my wisdom, his army will unfortunately perish alongside him. Honestly I'm not trying to sound cruel, but this man and his family has kept my people in the chains of slavery for hundreds of years and I've had enough of their suffering. It is time for my people to finally set fourth to the promised land.
